Welcome to Auxiliaries In Ministry
About Us
The Auxiliaries In Ministry (AIM) Convention, the annual summer convention of the Church Of God In Christ, Inc., exists to promote the spiritual enrichment and faith development of men, women, and youth, and equip these persons to understand and serve in kingdom-building activities through religious and doctrinal training, education and fellowship.
The Convention, a family involvement, brings together five auxiliaries of the Church; Music and Youth, Mission and Evangelism and Sunday School, as they share in three conventions in one setting.
The goal of AIM is effectiveness in ministry. Thus, the convention has as its primary goal training for a more effective domestic and global outreach. The triad conventions operate simultaneously during the week in day sessions, and unite each evening for a combined session. Delegates include people of all ages from throughout the country and 60 countries abroad.
AIM Mission Statement
The mission of AIM is to advance Kingdom work through training, worship, evangelism, discipleship, fellowship and service.
AIM serves as a catalyst to provide program and ministry to promote training and development opportunities that meet the spiritual needs of youth and families in the church and community. During the weeklong event, rallies, workshops, seminars, and recreational activities are the tools used to effectively teach and insure that youth become valued resources to their families, churches, and communities. Through these innovative efforts, youth will become self-sustaining productive citizens who create and enjoy a legacy of well-being in our society.
Organizational Capabilities
The Church Of God In Christ, Inc. (COGIC) is a Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in which the Word of God is preached, ordinances are administered and the doctrine of sanctification and holiness is emphasized as being essential to the salvation of mankind.
Under the leadership of Founding Bishop Charles Harrison Mason and succeeding leaders, the spiritual and apostolic direction of our Church has grown from ten congregations in 1907 to the largest Pentecostal group in America. The current membership of the Church of God in Christ is estimated at approximately 6 million members.

COGIC has been critical in transforming urban America, partly because our churches are located in areas where poverty and crime are prevalent. The churches commitment to inner cities and urban ministry has been critical to its growth. The goal of the church is to impact the inner cities by providing ministries, programs and strategies to children, youth and families who are at risk, in the area of education and affordable housing. Even as the church has witnessed growth in the inner cities of America, it has not been blind to the needs of the less fortunate in countries abroad. The church has a global mission to address issues such as the HIV/AIDS epidemic, hunger and disease that has devastated parts of Africa and other third world nations. Additionally, the church has at its heart the desire to utilize its influence, resources and willing workers to advance the Kingdom of God in serving the interest of the poor and persons who are in need of basic necessities of life.
